LIFE GROUPS are where we do life together here at Branch Church. We meet together in the RELAXED ATMOSPHERE of a home, and SHARE in each other’s struggles and celebrations. We HANG OUT together, SUPPORT each other, PRAY for and ENCOURAGE one another while we learn more about what God wants for our lives. Whether you are a long-time Christ follower, or if you are just trying to figure it all out, a LG is a place to come TOGETHER and help each other take the NEXT STEP in our spiritual journey as well as within the COMMUNITY. This semester’s LG’s will consist of a Men’s, Women’s, Mix and Student groups.
Men’s Life Group – What Makes You Happy
Everybody wants to be happy. Everybody is on a happiness quest. For many, happiness is measured in moments. Experiences. It’s elusive. Unsustainable. What about you? What makes you happy? Our Men’s LG looks at Andy Stanley’s. He explores the three things all happy people have in common. Then he goes on to describe how these three things can be realities for you as well through truths found in scripture.
Women’s Life Group – Life Lessons: The Book of James
Do your Monday actions reflect your Sunday worship? How about your claims to faith? Is your life full of noticeable changes and actions? James, the half-brother of Jesus, wasn’t impressed with talk. He knew talk was cheap. He knew that a life of faith was about action and action that showed a difference. And his book, James boldly deals with practical issues of faith not bound by cultural place. James shows the importance of living a genuine life of faith. He is straightforward. He encourages, challenges, and confronts. His practical words are merciful admonitions to live out our faith.
Mix Group – How Can I Know?
Student Life Group (Grades 6-12) – The Way I’m Wired – Discovering Who God Made Me to Be
This book is packed with 200 Scripture verses that will fuel your teenagers’ hunger for pursuing God’s unique plan. They’ll explore God’s purpose for men and women in the Bible, discovering how God used them powerfully to impact families, communities, and entire nations. Each week will help teens connect the biblical accounts and truths to their own lives in 2017.
